Dress for Success!
Robert WIlson All*Stars dress for success every day! Students are reminded to STOP and TUCK each morning and put their best foot forward to not just perform as the best of the best, but look the part, as well!
Security
Robert Wilson is a safe place for children, staff and the community. We have many policies and implement procedures to ensure the security and safety of everyone. Visitors should always check in through the office to sign in and receive a badge to easily identify themselves on campus. All volunteers should complete a background check through the school district to guarantee the safety on our campus. Background checks are valid for five years and forms are available in our office.
Be Here for the Bell!
The school day begins promptly at 8:00. Children should be at school, in their classroom and ready to learn by this time every day. Students who are absent should bring a note from home or from the doctor upon returning to school. Children who are tardy should be accompanied by a parent to get a tardy permit from the office to be admitted to class if arrival is after 8:15am. Students tardy after 8:15am will be recorded with a partial day absence. Remember, we can't teach you if you're not here!
*Forty Developmental Assets*
Research has proven that young people who possess assets are less likely to engage in violence or use drugs and more likely to exhibit leadership and value diversity. This is the focus of the Search Institutes 40 Developmental Assets.
Wilson Elementary School along with CCISD is working to incorporate the strategies behind the 40 Developmental Assets into our daily interactions with our youth. This framework allows us to intentionally encourage, strengthen, and support our students by continually developing research-based experiences and qualities to help them thrive.
Our focus is on the following five plus one assets:
Other Adult Relationships
Caring School Climate
Boundaries clear rules and consequences
Adult Role Models
High Expectations
and Plus One: Parent Involvement in Schooling
